These Scholarships are available annually to two University students, either new and/or continuing, students. These scholarships provide each successful applicant with $15,000, and where applicable scholarship winners will be offered casual, ongoing paid work experience on a JH project or corporate office while they complete their university studies.


Applicants will be chosen according to the following criteria: 

  • Applicant is Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and is accepted as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander in the community in which the applicant lives or has lived.
  • Enrolled in at least one Science Technology Engineering Maths (STEM) University course in New South Wales (NSW).
  • Consistently high results in core subjects.
  • A supporting statement of 400-500 words maximum as to how this scholarship would assist you in your studies.
  • Ability to work casual or ongoing paid work experience on a JH Project or corporate office while completing your university studies.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview with a minimum 3-person panel. 

Preferred if applicant or applicant's family member is a Local AECG member.
